Morrison Motors (Turriff) Aberdeenshire Shield
In the one fixture played tonight Deveronvale squeezed past Formartine Utd 2-1 to set up a quarter final match against the winners of the Banks O Dee v Cove Rangers tomorrow evening.
In a fairly even first half Formartine Utd took the lead. Just as they thought they would go into the break 1 - 0 in front Formartines David Hannay lost possesion of the ball just inside his own half allowing the Deveronvale player a clear run in on goal and he duly put the ball into the Formartine net..
The game turned in Deveronvale's favour in a crazy two minute spell half way through the second half.
Formartine Utd were awarded a penalty and one referee Pirie restored order Bagshaw put the kick wide of the goal.
To compound the strickers miss from the goal kick Deveronvale went up to the other end of the field of play and scored what turned out to be the winner.
